What do you need to get there? A needs analysis of skills that will get you to your “To Be” position or desired income level. What skills do you need to make the level of income you desire o What skill “To Be” traffic (daily number of: blog vistors, subscribers, sales etc)
Gap analysis: A Strength and Weakness skills (current position) assessment. From the requirement analysis, which of skills do you have now (strengths); what skills do you not have now (weaknesses) but require to make your desired income;
Measurable outcomes: How would you know when you have met the skills needs analysed, that is how to know whether a knowledge investment is worth it;
Planning your learning: An action plan, with timeline and expected Return on Investment (ROI), of how you will bridge the skills gap

In setting learning goals, it is important to note that the mind and how it hates to be challenged to do big things. You will be amazed at how close you get to your target whenever you set big goals. You have an enormous power within you and setting a Big, Hairy, Audacious, Goals (BHAG) that can trigger that power within to action. tips for setting your learning goals What are your skills gaps now, with regards to your online business? First determine: o What skills you must know but do not o What particular skills you want to learn now (before the next 3 months) and which ones you want to learn later (after 3 months) o Write down how each of these skills can help to improve your online business process, and ultimately add to helping you make more sales and income; Current position assessment. With respect to the new skill you want to learn, you need to first determine how much you already know (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and know where you currently are in terms of results with the level of that particular skill that you have. Example: Assuming you want to learn “traffic” strategies, it could be: I currently have 30 visitors on my blog daily; Next, research the best available resources for your current skill level to help you gain new skills. Resource must be easy to understand and have proven testimonials; Goal Statement: Write down a statement of your immediate Learning. Example – I want to learn how to increase traffic to my blog You need to set SMART objectives (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound) o Specific: What exactly do you want to learn, where? – example: I want to learn how to get more visitors to my blog, from the MLM Traffic Formula o Measurable: Assign numbers to the “What”. For example: I want to learn how to get 300 new visitors to my blog everyday OR “I want to learn how to convert 3 prospects daily to new sales”. o Achievable: First determine the exact resources you will need to achieve this target. Do you have the resources (time, tools, money and people/ skills) to achieve this new target? You don’t want to set targets that are too bogus from where you are and later realise that you do not have enough time or money to make that happen. Take small baby steps at a time; when you

achieve those, take more steps. Example: If you currently have 20 visitors a day from doing 30 minutes daily traffic drive, you may want to target putting in 1-2 (that is twice to four times more time) hours more daily to get about 80 to 100 new visitors daily. That is proportional and achievable with the time you are constrained to. o Realistic: Can you realistically achieve the numbers you set (time and achievement), with respect to any constraints or limitations (time input, money etc) you may have. Assuming you are working on a budget and cannot afford to pay for paid traffic, and in addition you only have 1 hour to put into your traffic generation daily, that would certainly limit the amount of visitors you ultimately achieve. So set your targets in relation to your available time and material resources. However, note that your output is directly proportional to your input, and so cutting down any slack time from every unproductive activity can enable you spend more time on your business. o Time-bound: Set a small time timelines for you to make that target come alive. Example: I want to get 100 new blog visitors to my blog everyday within the next 30 days. Measure your ROI for each new education you acquire. Divide your Personal Development Goal into small sets of milestone achievements you can measure, to enable you track how you are progressively getting close to the big picture. Example: You can have “1000 visitors on blog” as milestone as your achievement for every 10 days. Celebrate your milestone achievements. Go out and give yourself a treat.

Have you started implementing what you learnt? Has the new knowledge helped you to increase your traffic? How much new traffic does your blog have since acquiring this new knowledge? Has the new knowledge helped you close new sales? How much new sales have you made? Has it helped you to create new products of your own? How many new products have you put out since the new knowledge? Have you been able to forge new online business relationships and partnerships? How many? How to Effectively Fit Learning into Earning Plans
Although learning increases future earning power, it still does not produce earning; it only supports earning. Therefore you should be strategic in how you spend learning time so that it actually supports your earning and not creep into earning time else you risk going broke while learning new skills. Assign 10% of Weekly Work Time for Personal Development; 30 minutes daily (or 2 hours one day in a week) for a 3 hour work day. To help you get into the habit of continuous development, block out at least 2 hours every Friday for learning new things about how to improve your high impact business activities such as: Learn new ways to get more traffic to your blog and offers; Learn how to increase your list/ subscriber base;

It can be difficult resisting the well crafted sales letters and emails of marketers launching new products. Implementing to your Personal Development Roadmap is all you need to stay focused. Personal Development Blueprint aims at fixing your online marketing weaknesses while ensuring that every new skill produces measurable returns (monetary and non-monetary).
