Our 6th Conscious Growth Workshop kicks off in just 8 days. I’m soooo looking forward to it.
It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a year since CGW #5. For me it feels more like 2-3 years have passed; I really packed in a lot during that time. Can’t even remember where I left my old reality… somewhere between Mono Lake and Napa Valley I think.
These workshops never grow stale for me since I always freshen the content with new insights — I’ve certainly learned a great deal over the past year — and the group energy is different every time. I’m sure I get at least as much out of each workshop as anyone else. All of the previous CGWs have given me a substantial growth spurt in one or more areas of life, so I’m curious (and perhaps a little trepidatious) to see how this one affects me. We create an amazing group synergy that just works so beautifully.
Since this is a summer workshop — and since there are 3 other workshops available now too — it’s going to be one of the smaller CGWs. For last summer’s workshop we had 27 people, and I’m expecting about the same for this one. So there will be no stage and no microphones — just a committed group of people working closely together to help each other grow.
We do have some returning alumni, but most of the attendees at this one are CGW first-timers. That’s going to make for a really fun mix.
I’ve had a number of people ask about helping out as volunteers. I appreciate the offers, but presently I have all the help I need and more — including not one but TWO Canadians!
Erin will be there too, so this is a nice opportunity to hang out and connect with her if you’ve been following her blog as well. I think she’ll be available for in-person readings as usual, so be sure to contact her if that’s of interest to you.
One suggestion to prep for this CGW is to go through the free bonuses if you haven’t already done so, especially the Growth Accelerator audio program. You can put it on your iPod and listen to it on the plane, but I’d recommend listening to it a few days in advance to give the ideas more time to sink in.
Also remember that all September CGW attendees will get the recordings of the entire NLP Mindfest sent to them for free as an extra bonus. Whether you’re going to CGW or not, be sure to sign up for the Mindfest soon — it starts on September 12th and runs for 10 days. You get to listen to the first session with Paul Scheele right away.
Some people have been discussing a pre-workshop meet-up on the Thursday night before the workshop, which has been something of a CGW tradition. Feel free to share your input in the workshop discussion forum if you’re interested. It’s also a good idea to check that forum for any extra social activities that people may plan outside of workshop hours. You can use it to get travel advice too. Fortunately, flights to and from Las Vegas are normally cheaper than to other cities; our city welcomes visitors.
Be sure to make your hotel reservation now if you haven’t done so yet. If you wait too much longer, the rates may be higher. To reserve your room at the Tropicana, call 1-800-634-4000 (or 1-702-739-2645 if calling from outside the USA). Give them our group code of SSP911 to get the group discount rate — this code is technically expired now, but there’s a good chance they’ll still accept it if the current rates aren’t too different from the group rate. You’re going to love kicking back and relaxing by the Tropicana’s pool after hours.
Just to reiterate — please don’t wait till the last minute to make your travel arrangements. Get that taken care of today. Go read Overcoming Procrastination if you need more help.
After CGW, those who are still in town for an extra day or two usually get together to hang out and do fun activities in Las Vegas. I often partake in these activities as well. At CGW #5 about dozen of us went zip-lining in downtown Vegas — a fun experience! I can also recommend the Vegas Indoor Skydiving — if you go with a Vegas local after 5pm, you can do it for half price. (Hopefully that offer is still current since it’s been a while since I’ve been there.)
There’s still time to sign up for CGW with the $100 early bird discount if you want to enjoy an amazing weekend of fun-filled growth experiences — it expires in about 36 hours.
As an added reminder, the early bird discount for the October Subjective Reality Workshop expires on September 21, so it would be a good idea to make up your mind about attending that one within the next couple weeks. This is sure to be a one-of-a-kind experience. I expect this will be a popular workshop too, since we already have more people signed up for SRW than for CGW, and SRW is still a month and a half away.
I find it incredibly refreshing to hang out with such a delightful group of growth-oriented people for so many days in a row. I meet with people individually often, and I like to have meet-ups when I travel, but those only last a couple hours. Being totally immersed in this vibe for a 3-day weekend and beyond is among my favorite experiences ever.
I look forward to seeing you soon. And be prepared to share a lot of hugs… or you’d better come wearing armor!
